Fundamental - big picture stuff that is the building blocks of good casting. These are larger, foundational components that are worth explaining and understanding in depth. Good fly casting starts with understanding the system in its most basic sense, and this is where we start.

Supplemental - in these modules, we drill down on specific, smaller components of good casting. These are often the answers to particular problems, and they can help address common sources for issues in the cast. Sometimes, a little goes a long way.

Exercise - a good fly cast is one that can withstand stress and will perform under pressure. These exercises are a source for what, precisely, to practice. It’s also a place to learn how we practice, which is as important as anything. Come here to find out what you should spend your time doing as you improve in your practice.

Misinformation - here, we talk about some things that are part of the contemporary understanding of fly casting, but are wrong. We learn why these pieces of misinformation have propagated, and what to do instead. We develop a clear understanding of what we shouldn’t do, despite some of these ideas being widespread and influential. Doing a deep dive on what’s wrong with an idea can be helpful, because we then understand what’s actually going on and develop a complete understanding of what to do instead.
